Canadian Outdoors
The demands of modern human life kept transforming our attitudes towards the natural environment. In my experience, the allure of “a cabin in the woods” rooted in North American culture seems like a distant past. Once full of activity, Ontario waterfronts in “cottage country” are now silent. Deprived of children’s laughter, bird’s calls, insects and small critters. Once busy, summer camps are closed, and most lodges farther north went out of business. The sky above is adorned with jet vapor trails, pointing to all-inclusive or far away destinations.
